IISER Admission 2018
IISER Admission 2018 will be given to those candidates who will able to qualify an IISER 2018entrance exam, KVPY exam(Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) &JEE Advanced exam. IISER Admission 2018 conducted byIndian Institutes of Science Education and Research. IISER organizes the exam in order to offer education in the field of science & research. There are seven IISER Institutions in India. To get admission to the IISER Institutions, candidates should fill the IISER Online application via SCB (State & Central Boards) streams, KVPY Stream & JEE (Advanced) Stream. The seven IISER Institutions are in Kolkata, Pune, Bhopal, Mohali, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati& Berhampur. These Institutions provide five year dual degree course, known as BS-MS Programme.
IISER Application Form 2018
Applicants who are eagerly waiting to get admission to the IISER Institutions are required to fill the IISER Online application via SCB (State & Central Boards) streams, KVPY Stream & JEE (Advanced) Stream. The IISER Online Application form will be available from the 4th week ofMay 2018. Online is the only option to fill the form. The last date fill the IISER 2018 Application Form is 4th week of June 2018 for SCB, 2nd week of June 2018 for KVPY& 1st week of July 2018 for JEE Advanced Streams. Students are required to uploadtheir scanned photograph & mark sheet/rank card (as applicable) in a given format. It is also required to fill the Institution choice out of all 7 IISERinstitutions for admission as per the preferences in the application. For the further use candidates are advised to take print of the filled application form for future use.
General category candidates have to payRs.1500 andSC/ST category & Kashmiri Migrants have to pay Rs. 750. Students should keep in mind that the application fee will not be given back. Students are allowed to make payment through online or offline mode.
Candidates should check the eligibility criteria before applying. Indian National, PIO & OCI candidates can apply.
SCB Streams:Applicants should clear 12th examination withscience stream in 2017 or 2018. Students should obtain marks equal or above the cut-off percentage in their respective boards. For the OBC-NC & PwD category students, 5% relaxation is given. The cut-off percentage marksfor SC/ST/KM category is 55% in 10+2 level for all boards.
KVPY Stream:Studentsshould have a valid KVPY scholarship beginning from 2018-2019 sessions.
JEE Advanced Stream:Applicants should clear the JEE Advanced exam & secure a rank within 10000 in CRL (Common Rank List).
Exam pattern of IISER
- Mode of Exam: offline mode
- Type of Questions:multiple choice
- Exam Duration:3 hours (10:00 AM to 1:00 PM).
- of Questions:15 questions from each subject.
- Total Marks:180 marks.
- Marking Scheme:3 marks for each correct response.
- Negative Marking:For incorrect answer, one mark
- Subjects:PCMBlike (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology).
